As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I wanted to skip along the shore... feeling such gladness and joy in my heart. He was there skipping along with me, as I realized the closeness we have with our Father!

If you are born again, Jesus dwells on the inside of you. Your inner life -- your attitude, thoughts, and emotions -- is holy ground where the Spirit of God wants to make His home. This inner life is of more serious interest to God than your outer life.

If you want to be a comfortable home for God, you must give up grumbling and faultfinding. The Bible says God inhabits the praises of His people. He is comfortable in the midst of your praises. You need to wake up every morning rejoicing. He lives inside of you and is rejoicing with you. Tell Him thank you for all the good things he is doing today, and will be doing forever! Today, enjoy the God-Kind of life... rejoice and be glad and make a glad place for Him in your heart!

Ephesians 3:17 -- "May Christ through you faith, dwell in your hearts!"

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the sunrise glistened on the shimmering water with His glory seemingly falling from the sky! What a glorious sight to behold.

Today we live in a world of turmoil, chaos, and confusion... but we do not have to be conformed to the world's way of living. We are His children, called to be set apart, to be His examples in the earth of life -- life that is beyond anything this world has to offer. We can walk in peace, joy, having our needs met with a knowing that our Father has everything we need pertaining to life. Isn't that a wonderful way to live? Wouldn't you want to know that if you were lost and in a wilderness... not yet knowing Him? Wouldn't you want to know where to find a peace that passes all understanding, in the midst of chaos?

We are here to share the "Good News" with the world that is so desperate to know the love and peace of Jesus. Let that be your focus today, wherever you are, to bring the Good News to someone who needs hope! You may be the Jesus that shows up in their life!

John 16:33 -- "These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the sun was rising out of the ocean creating another glorious day. Another new day -- full of life and adventure with Jesus!

Each day we have the opportunity to look at life with His view point, or the world's view point... a life in the Kingdom of God, full of glory, abundance, new life, freshness every day, the Word that creates everything we have, victory, health, wisdom, joy and peace! That is how He sees life -- full of these things. That is what we should express to a world that is full of lack, death, unrest, and weariness... life -- abundant life! What a gift we have to those we meet every day -- the gift of eternal, abundant, overflowing life! That is our job as His ambassadors in the earth -- to bring life to every person we touch.

As you walk your seashore of life today, see how many gifts of life you can give away. Today is your opportunity to give life, to represent Him in the earth! Take that opportunity and change the world today -- one soul at a time! They are waiting for you!

John 10:10 -- "I have come that they might have life and have it more abundantly!"

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched the dogs running on the beach chasing the seagulls. They were free to run and play. I felt free as well, knowing I was free from my past... free from sin. Isn't that a wonderful feeling -- to be free?

Do you feel free today, or has the devil tied you up in knots, thinking about all your sin and mistakes made in life? You can be free today! Jesus paid the price. Sin is a real issue for most people, but sin does not have to be a big problem. Do you know God has already made provision in His Word for your human failures? Most people make a much bigger deal out of these things than God does.

Jesus understands your human frailty because He was tempted in every way we are. Because He is your High Priest, interceding with the Father for you, you can come boldly to God's throne to receive all of His grace, favor and mercy. Remember that as you walk freely on your seashore of life today!

Hebrews 4:15-16 -- "For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weakness and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning. Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace and we may receive mercy."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the excitement seemed to be greater than normal. It is the realization that truly every day is made new - filled with fresh promises from our Father. Just as we are made new creatures in Him.

Some people like to remind us that "we're just poor old sinner," but we are sons and daughters of the Most High God. When we came to God, He washed away our sins (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). He made us new creatures. The Bible says, "The old things passed away; behold, new things have come" (2 Corinthians 5:17). He made us the righteousness of god.

Instead of having a poor-old-me mentality, expecting a crumb here and a crumb there, why don't you step up to the dinner table? God has a beautiful banquet in store for you. He has an abundant life for you. You have royal blood flowing through your veins. Your heavenly Father created the whole universe with you in mind.

Isaiah 25:6 -- "On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine-the best of meats and the finest of wines."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched how each little bird on the beach is different. They all move differently -- some slowly, some scurry about busily, some just sit silently seeming to patrol the activity of the beach.

I thought of how we are the same. Some people are outgoing and energetic; others are more timid and laid back. Some people like to wear suits and ties, other people are more comfortable wearing blue jeans. Some people close eyes and lift their hands when they worship God; others worship God in a more subdued manner. And God likes it all.

Don't think that you have to fit into somebody else's mold and similarly. Don't be upset when other people don't fit your mold. Your attitude should be: I am confident in who I am. I am not going to go around pretending, wishing I were something else, trying to fit into everybody's mold. I am happy being the person God created me to be! Live freely being you!

Romans 12:2 -- "Don't copy the behavior of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the sound of the ocean lapped gently against the beach. It seems on those days the voice of the Lord is much louder than the days it is raging against the sand!

I thought of the verse that says, "Be still and know that I am God." We all have to get to a place where we can quiet the voices of the world and "hear what the Lord" is saying to us so we can have direction for our lives. That is truly a challenge we all face -- even those that live at the beach -- because the enemy will keep you occupied with "busy things" to do, and keep us from hearing the small still voice of the Lord. We can't just wake up and fall into our day without His leading because of a rushed schedule. And yet many of us do... I have been there, done that, and the day ends up being scrambled because it started that way... without His leading.

If we truly want to go in the direction He has for us... and each of us have our own destination designed by the master, we must get His thoughts before we start our day.

As you walk your seashore of life today, find that quiet place where you can hear the voice of God. He is waiting to speak to you -- to give you direction, to give you wisdom for your life. He has your destination mapped for you -- if you can "hear what He is saying to you."

Psalm 46:10 -- "Be still and know that I am God."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I realized I was walking on a different beach that was much larger than the beach I am accustomed to walking on...and the beach was much much larger! It covered much more territory than the one in Pawley's Island.

What a revelation it was to me that God made this scripture so clear to me... that He means for us to have larger territories to cover for Him. He has commanded us to go make disciples of the nations, so we are going to have to have enlarged territories to accomplish this commandment! He has said for us to enlarge the place of our tent... everywhere we go we have the opportunity to share the "Good News" to those He puts in our path.

Are you doing that? Are you acknowledging the responsibility you have to share the gospel wherever your feet take you? That is the way He is going to enlarge your territory. Today, know He is not satisfied with us if we just get comfortable with status quo. There are souls that have not heard the good news and we are the ones to move forward to share the Word with the lost and dying world. Let's get the job done and bring the souls into the Kingdom of God!

Isaiah 54: 2 -- "Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations; spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, an amazing thing happened... a beautiful white horse came galloping along the seashore with its rider on his back. What a sight to see!

All of a sudden, my thoughts were carried to the scripture that says, Jesus will return riding on a white horse! Can you imagine how my mind raced as I realized that it could truly happen at any moment... just as I was not expecting to see the horse today, we are not expecting to see Jesus return as He says... at any moment!

Today, I want to commit with you to be prepared at any moment for our Savior to come bursting through the heavenly clouds to gather His church. Ask yourself today -- are you ready for Him to return, and if you are not, what do you need to be ready? I am watching for that white horse -- at any moment and I am going to be ready! Be ready with me, friends! He is coming soon!

Revelation 6:2 -- "And I saw, and behold a white horse; and He that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto Him; and He went forth conquering and to conquer."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched the little sand crab run quickly into his hiding place... afraid of being captured by the sandpiper.

I was reminded of the underdog who stood victoriously against mighty armies because they trusted in God. In each case, the odds were completely against them and the enemy seemed utterly invincible.

However, things were allowed to look bad in order to illustrate that there is an important factor that cannot be seen -- the reality of God's help.

These numerous examples should always remind you that the clever inventions of your adversaries could never match the mighty arm of your God.

Today, you may face conflicts that appear impossible. Yet God can easily overcome them. Line up with Him on the battlefield, because He will lead you to triumph.

2 Chronicles 32:8 -- "With Him is only an arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles."

Sometimes the message God speaks is so relevant -- it is worth repeating again, so please read again and let it sink into your heart today as you walk your seashore of life.

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, my walk was quiet... the summer visitors had not yet covered the beach and the time alone with Jesus was welcomed. It was as though He had blocked this morning off for the two of us.

I thought of how the veil in the temple was ripped, so we could go into the Holy of Holies with our Savior... it had once been the veil in the temple that blocked everyone's view of the Holy of Holies -- the sacred place where God would meet with the high priest once a year.

One person -- on only one day -- had the astounding privilege of meeting face to face with God.

Yet when Jesus was crucified, the veil in the temple was torn in two. This symbolized the rending of everything that stood between you and God, so that you would know that you can always meet with Him, every day of the year.

By His power, Jesus opened the way to the Father for you. Today, praise Him for making your heart the new most sacred place.

Matthew 27:51 -- "The veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, there were two mountains of sand stacked on the beach... one much higher than the other.

God reminded me to elevate my thinking to higher and better things, especially when we are going through a tough day. We have things we get on our minds, and we let them take over and run our thoughts into the ground. This is how the devil gets the victory in our day to day life. We meditate on the problems instead of the good things God has done and is doing in our everyday life! He tells us to think only on those things that are pure and good!!! If your heart is filled with goodness and godliness, then your mind will overflow with good thoughts! It starts with your heart and ultimately flows over into your actions and thoughts. That is where He wants us to be -- higher with Him.

So today, as you walk your seashore of life, choose to think on those things that are higher than your problems. That will keep you on the higher mountain with God.

Phillipians 4:8 -- "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy -- meditate on these things."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the ocean was calm and quietly lapping along the sandy beach.

The Lord was speaking to my spirit for me to be quiet, and listen. He was speaking to me in such a peaceful way. He was saying, "be still, listen, discern." There seemed to be such a quietness... it was almost overwhelming to me.

It seemed to be a temporary divine silence all around. It is at those times we must wait for His divine direction. Have you been there? Then in the moment He speaks to you, you will hear His small still voice speaking to you, giving you the next step in your walk. If you will rest in His presence, you will be rejuvenated as you wait for His leading, knowing you have heard from Him.

Today as you walk your seashore of life, cease striving and refuse the temptation to get caught up in the rush and competition the world produces. Be strong, but be silent and wait for the Lord.

Matthew 11:28 -- "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the beach is crowded with the summer visitors beginning to cover the beach. I see so many different people from every walk and every city during this time at the beach.

Jesus reminded me that they all have the opportunity to come to Him... no matter where they come from or what they have done in their past life. They are welcomed by Him when they turn to Him. Isn't that an amazing fact, that any one at any time, no matter what they may have done in the past, has the opportunity to be accepted and saved by Jesus Christ our Savior.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could be that welcoming to the people God puts in our lives every day? But we have such conditions in our acceptance of others... they have to look right, dress right, speak right, drive the right car, live in the right neighborhood, before we accept them. Amazing isn't it? We need to learn to be more like Jesus and love people who come to us "just as they are." We would probably see a lot more souls coming into the Kingdom of God if we could open our arms of love and acceptance to the world! Let's try it today, and see others as Jesus sees them. After all, He accepted me just as I am... and for that I am so very thankful. If He could use the Harlot, Rahab, surely He could use me.

Joshua 2:4 -- "Then the woman took the two men and hid them. So she said, 'Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know where they were from.'"

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the waves were murky from the storm and the sand was gray and wet, but I chose to continue to praise the Lord on my walk!

Today, lift your voice to your Creator! Fortify yourself by singing about the goodness of God that you count on -- even as everything around you seems to deteriorate.

Forget the things that are not working; they do not tell the whole story. Rather, the greater realities are His power and His wisdom, which make a pleasant way for you.

Realize that the words you speak out to God in praise return to you, resonating within you to gladden your heart and lift you up. Rejoice in God because His help is on its way and because He is invigorating you for the heights ahead. No matter what is fruitless or fails -- celebrate. Surely He will help you.

Habakkuk 3:17-18 -- "Olive trees may be fruitless, and harvest time a failure... but I will still celebrate because the Lord God saves me."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the activity of the beach has increased. I can still find places that take me into the presence of God to sit quietly in my spirit. I just have to look a little harder.

Today as we become buried in our busyness of life, we forget to even say thank you to our Father who has provided everything we own... every freedom we have... every joyous moment of life. I know it is difficult in our schedules to have those quiet moments, but we have so much to be thankful for. Is it really asking so much to find a quiet spot in our busy day to just sit and talk with Him? He longs for us to spend that time, even if we don't have a lot to say, but to always give Him a part of our day to say, "Thank you for my life, Jesus, and I love you!" That is all He asks of us.

When you start your busy day today, take the time to find a quiet spot long enough to say to Him how very grateful you are and how thankful to have a loving Father who is always looking out for you! See if it doesn't make a difference in your day, even if you have to look hard to find that quiet spot! You will be glad you took the time.

Psalm 37: 4 -- "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, a child was carrying a bucket of water to the pile of sand to make a sandcastle. The bucket of water became too heavy for the child but his father, watching by the wayside, came to his rescue to complete the project.

That is how we are when our tasks become too heavy for us. We have to allow our Father to intervene in our lives, to complete what we find ourselves in that we cannot finish. When our way becomes too heavy and we can no longer handle it, just roll it off onto the Lord and He will take care of it. But remember, commitment is an act. And once you commit, you should not go back and see if it is working. You trust. It is like taking money to the bank and making a deposit. Once you get your receipt, you would not think of walking back in thirty minutes to see if the bank knows what to do with your money. You have committed it to the bank. If you commit something to the Lord, leave it, and trust Him.

Today, whatever your situation is, leave it in His hands. He knows exactly what to do, and when to do it. He has gone before you and will take care of it... in His time.

Psalm 37:5 -- "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched a fisherman struggle with getting a baby shark off his fishing line. I wanted to help him, as he fought to set the shark free, but there was nothing I could do but stand and watch.

Isn't that what we have to do in our life situations at times? There will be situations and circumstances in our lives that we can do nothing about. These are times when our best decision is to commit our situation to the Lord and simply take our hands off.

In today's society, we are taught to find the solution for every problem, but God speaks differently. He says in Psalm 37:5 to "Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass." The Hebrew actually says, "Roll your way on the Lord." This is difficult for us to do as we want instant answers, instant solutions to every problem. But He is asking us to do what He says, then we will see Him work on our behalf. It is His way of allowing us to trust Him when we have done all we can do.

Today as you walk your seashore of life, whatever situation you are struggling with, commit it to the Lord and let Him work it out. He knows ahead of time the perfect solution, and in His time, He will bring it to pass.

Psalm 37:5 -- "Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass."

Today as I walked the seaside with Jesus, I watched the creatures of the ocean work together and play together... each fulfilling their purpose for which the Lord has created them.

It reminded me that God has created each of us for a purpose... every one of us. We can either choose to accept His plans or reject His plan. Once your heart is willing to join Him, He sets you on the path to fulfill the purpose for your being for glorifying Him. His plan for you on this earth is a plan that will fit a need for the place you live, and the people you encounter in your life. And you will be fulfilled!

So today as you walk your seashore of life, thank Him... because even when you feel like you are wandering. God has placed you on the right course to accomplish what you were created for.

Exodus 9:16 -- "For this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I found a beautiful smooth stone that sparkled with beautiful colors. It looked like one of God's treasures hidden on the beach, just for me.

What about the treasures you have in your life? What is it that you need to unlock all of your hidden potential and talents -- to rid yourself of faults and secret hang-ups? What will open your soul to the highest and best it can be?

Scripture teaches that the fear of the Lord is the key to your treasure. This may seem strange because fear either makes people act rashly or retreat. Yet this fear is a reverence that trusts God's intentions and fills you with confidence.

God teaches you the wisdom and courage you need in order to become all you were meant to be. He is the key to your hidden opulence, so hold Him high in esteem.

Isaish 33:6 -- "He will be your sure foundation, providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom and knowledge. The fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I am always amazed at the beauty of His incredible ocean... endless and amazing in every way! It is never boring to me!

I am always puzzled by the fact that today there is a sad lack of amazement in the world. Though interplanetary exploration and gee-whiz cinematographic advancements may briefly stir the imagination, there is a general sentiment that it has all been seen before.

Part of worshiping God is standing in awe of Him. Worship happens when you encounter God and realize that He is more amazing than the human mind could ever fully comprehend.

Today, invite God to amaze you with His presence. Allow Him to astound your soul. Open your heart to Him -- you would not believe what He wants to show you.

Habakkuk 1:5 -- "Look and be amazed at what's happening... Even if you were told, you would never believe what's taking place."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I noticed a small bird trying to follow some of the speedy little sandpipers that just seemed to roll along the beach... he simply could not keep up with the quick little birds.

I thought of how at times we seem to experience moments of fatigue, not always in our bodies but in our soul, mostly in our emotions. We just seem slow and weighty. As we experience those feelings we are also attracted to others in the same mode. But we must remember this, God never wants us to be caught as part of this crowd, because this is not God's best. Rather, He wants us to be free and clear in our mind, soul, body and spirit! That is when we are most effective for others.

God's perfect will is that we let the Holy Spirit lead us in all things. This way we avoid getting burned out and frustrated, not to mention becoming emotionally tired and weary and worn out in our daily work for the Lord. That is the enemy's plan... to frustrate and stop what we are doing in the earth as believers strong in the Lord! We must always seek to be strong in the Lord and never strong in our own strength. He will keep us strong always, as long as we keep our eyes on Him and focus on what only He can do! Not what we in our own strength can do!

2 Thessalonians 3:13 -- "And as for you brethren, do not grow weary in well doing."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched the little crabs run into their hole and hide as I moved close to them.

The Lord reminded me that we have to walk in faith, not fear. We have to believe that He is for us. And if He is for us, no one can be against us. We must not be afraid and always hiding in our hole of life, like the little crab did. We can't stay in the cave of hurt and disappointment. We will become slaves to that fear and never live the life Jesus came to give us!

Today as you walk your seashore of life, move out of your cave of whatever has held you captive. Get into life again and walk into your destiny. Walk into the full life God has prepared for you! He has an abundant life just waiting!

Luke 18:27 -- "But He said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God!"

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the sand pipers were playing and running on the beach... free and happy. They love running along the beach, chasing the sea creatures for food. What a life.

Do you have the joy of the Lord in your life today? Do you run freely, trusting your Dad to take care of all your needs? That is how He wants us to live, to know that we know that He is there, taking care of our every need. We can live without the stress of worry -- not being irresponsible -- but not carrying the weight of the world on our backs like so many of us do. We are worriers and not worshippers! We can worship when we trust our Father to do all He says He will do!

Today as you walk your seashore of life, set yourself free and trust your Father with your life! He is in charge and has already made provision for your every need!

1 Peter 5:7 -- "Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the new season seems to have come into full bloom. The people on the beach are excited, happy to be here, and are so appreciative of the new season!

They have waited all winter long for the warm summer months to arrive... so they could pack their families and come enjoy this glorious beach. They have prepared, planned, saved the funds to finance their vacations to walk into this season of enjoying time away with their loved ones.

It made me wonder how much do we prepare to spend special time with Jesus? How much planning do we put into His time, vacations with Him. I know most of us take a vacation from church and the activities that go with it... but how much do we actually make plans to be with Him? After all, true time and worship with Him is exactly what we need to escape the chaos and cares of this world. Pure time with Him can change our whole life! He is the perfect vacation for all of us.

Today as you plan for your vacation, be sure to make plans to be with Him. He is the life changer and should never be excluded from special times away. Time with Him will change everything you dp... on vacation or wherever you are!

Isaiah 26:3 -- "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you."
