As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I picked up a tiny flower that had been blown onto the sand, separated from the vine it belonged to... separated on the sand it would die quickly.

My thoughts immediately went to the Word that says, we are the branch and He is the true vine. Apart from Him, we can do nothing... we will die! But when we stay connected to the vine, we will produce fruit! That is the true sign of a believer -- a fruit bearer!

Be remember this, your fruit is the sign of the root! What are you connected to is going to be the fruit you bear. We must be sure to be fruit inspectors of what we are bearing...it must be good fruit -- not bad! Are you bearing good fruit? Are you connecting to the true vine? Take a look at your life and see -- are you bearing good relationships, peace in your life, love for those around you? What does your life look like?

Today as you walk your seashore of life, inspect the fruit in your life and make sure it looks like Jesus... He is the one that causes us to bear good fruit! Stay connected to Him and watch the fruit come forth! That is the work of the believer -- bear good fruit!

John 15:1-2 -- "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit!"

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I found two pennies on the beach... one old one, and one new one.

It reminded me that God is always wanting us to shed the old man and put on the new man. God is always ready to do something new in our lives -- as well as get rid of the old. We need to avoid dwelling on things that remind us of the pains of the past, that evoke a negative hurtful memory. We need to get rid of old habits that bring grief into our lives, old relationships that poison our lives, old thought habits that bring negative results into our lives. We need to let go of the old ways and put on new ways as we walk into the life God has promised! The things in the past need to stay in the past!

Today as you walk your seashore of life, you can be assured that God always has a new beginning. The real question is: are you willing to move on with your life with a good attitude, knowing that God has a bright future in store for you.

Job 8:7 -- "Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched a little fish that had floated onto the beach out of the water, struggling and flapping on the sand. Then the wave came and covered him again to carry him back into the safety of the ocean.

I thought of how we struggle when we are taken into the captivity of stillness in our lives. If we could ever learn to accept the situation and let God turn it to the best possible account. Fretting over that from which we have been removed or which has been taken away from us will not make things better, but it will prevent us from improving those which remain.

Everyone will understand the difference between the restless starling of which Sterne has written, breaking its wings against the bars of the cage and crying, "I can't get out, I can't get out," and the docile canary that sits upon its perch and sings as if it would outrival the lark soaring to heaven's gate.

No calamity will overtake us if we take it to God in prayer. It is through our trials and afflictions that God gives us fresh revelations of Himself, where we see Him face to face. So today, in your walk of life, turn your clamoring against the event that has you trapped into an opportunity to sing to your Father. Let Him turn your heart into a joyful and praising soul that will lift you to a higher level.

Ezekiel 1: 1-3 -- "As I was among the captives by the river of Chebar... the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God... and the hand of the Lord was there upon me."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched the little sandpipers running in the waves as they ran gathering their food. All of them were in order -- a perfect alignment along the shore.

Timing and order is everything, isn't it? David was chosen by God to be Israel's second king. The only problem was that Israel's first king, Saul, was still alive.

You may imagine that David got impatient as the years went by and Saul continued to rule. Yet even when he was given the opportunity to kill Saul, he refrained because it was more important for him to honor God than to sit on the throne.

Perhaps you are in a similar situation of waiting. You could do something about it, but you are certain that your remedy would not please God, so it is best to wait for Him. He is your Father who knows the right time and the right answer for your situation. Do you trust Him?

Today as you walk your seashore of life, take David's example and honor God's timing. God will certainly bless your patience and self-control.

1 Samuel 24:6 -- "I should not do anything against Him, because He is the Lord's appointed king."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the silence was overwhelming. I wanted to hear the voice of God, but there was only silence.

There is nothing that can cause anxiety in our life like silence. You can pray to God with faith and passion about something dear to you, and then you hear absolutely nothing. Soon your hope begins to fade away. You wonder where God has gone.

Yet God heard you and has been preparing an answer since the first moment you prayed. Just because there is no visible evidence of His work in your situation does not mean He is ignoring you or has rejected your request.

On the contrary, He has taken your pleas to heart and is working diligently to provide what you need. Today, as you walk your seashore of life, do not despise or fear the silence, because God is most certainly sending His answer. A delayed answer is not a denied answer... He will hear and answer your prayer!

Daniel 10:12 -- "Don't be afraid! God has listened to your prayers since the first day you humbly asked for understanding, and He has sent me here."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, my focus was on the joy of being able to walk freely. I could enjoy life with my Lord and Savior walking along His beautiful seashore, knowing He has already provided everything I need for success in life! What a blessing!

It will come as no surprise to you that much of your success is dependent upon what you focus on in life on a daily basis. However, it may astonish you that what Jesus centered on -- what brought him victory -- was joy!

He was able to face the cross by looking past it to the wonderfully joyous prospect of offering you and I a relationship with God and doing God's will. He knew He was the sacrifice for your freedom and joy in life here on the earth!

And so, knowing the delight God takes in you, be happy to fix your concentration on Him today. Then, no matter what happens, He is the joy ahead of you. And focusing on Him will give you greater success than any other, because you will share in His certain and eternal triumph.

Hebrews 12:2 -- "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, and see the dolphins playing, the sand pipers feeding along the shoreline... every one peaceful and in harmony.

Isn't it amazing the harmony God planned for the world, and yet so many of us do not have the peace of God He planned for us. We walk in worry, anxiety, fretfulness, anger... not the peace He promised us for this life.

Why can we not trust Him... and let Him be the Lord in our lives. He is our peace! As we focus on His word, He promises that we can have peace amidst the world of turmoil that we live in. We can take Him at His Word. If He says we can have peace in the storm, we can have it! Why don't we take that peace and apply it in our lives daily? Why do we try to carry what only He can carry?

Today as you walk your seashore of life, no matter what you may be facing, remember that He has provided a peace that will cover any obstacles that try to rob you of your joy! Today, rely on the peace that your Father has provided. It is truly the way to live victoriously in this world today, among the storms of life! Peace is yours from your Father!

Philippians 4:6-7 -- "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I couldn't help but notice how the ocean creatures all worked together... the sea gulls, the pelicans, the sandpipers... never worrying about what the others are doing. It seems to be a wonderful way to live -- free to be what God has called us to be.

I compared that to how we live in today's culture... always comparing ourselves to others, never forgetting when others have wronged us. It seems so easy to remember the wrongs that have been done, rather than the right and good things. We want to remember the negatives, and not the positives.

However, that is absolutely not true with God. When you believe in Him, He promises to forever erase any instance that you have fallen short. And He remembers and celebrates all the good things you have done out of love. Isn't that incredible? He does not forget one good deed that you have done for His sake!

As you walk your seashore of life today, know that you are in His Kingdom and walking free of any sin or wrong doings because of your Heavenly Father's love and forgiveness! Rejoice that the thoughts He has toward you are and always will be -- outstanding!

Hebrews 6:10 -- "God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love you have shown toward His name."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, there was a joy and a peace as the water splashed across the tops of my feet. It is a good feeling when all is well, but what about those days when it doesn't feel so peaceful or joyful... and your world seems to be upside down? How do you deal with those days? Do you have a hard time digging yourself out of the slump?

I thought of how God instructed Samuel after the death of Saul. He gave clear instructions to Samuel when He said, "If you will quit mourning over Saul and get going, I'll show you a new, better beginning." Yes, Saul was God's first choice, but God always has another plan (aren't you glad?). Notice what God told Samuel to do: "Fill your horn with oil." Have a fresh new attitude. Put a smile on your face. Get the spring back in your step and be on your way.

If Samuel had wallowed in his disappointment, he might have missed King David, one of the greatest Kings in the Bible. Similarly, we risk missing out on the new things God wants to do in our lives when we stay in our pity parties.

Remember as you walk your seashore of life today, God has a better plan for you! It's time to get going for Jesus in this new day!

1 Samuel 16:1 -- "The Lord said to Samuel, '...Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen on of his sons to be king.'"

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I saw a fishing boat come close to shore. I could envision Peter getting out of the boat and walking toward Jesus. What a step of faith!

How about you, friend... do you look beyond where you are at this very moment? Do you look upon your life with eyes of faith? Think of it this way: when we close our eyes, we should see more than we do when we have our eyes open. This is called seeing with eyes of faith. See your whole family serving God. See yourself rising to new levels of effectiveness in your life. See yourself stronger, healthier, and living a more abundant life. See God using you in a greater way.

Take a few minutes every day to dream big dreams; close your eyes, and see your dreams coming to pass with your eyes of faith. Envision yourself out of debt. Envision yourself breaking that addiction. Envision your marriage being more fulfilled. Envision yourself rising to new levels in your career.

As you walk your seashore of life today, if you can establish the pictures in your heart and mind that you desire, then God can begin to bring it to pass in your life.

Revelation 3:18 -- "I counsel you to buy from me... salve to put on your eyes, so you can see."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I saw a crane with red fishing wire entangled around his legs. I wanted to help him get free, but he would not allow me to get close.

Is this the way we do with God at times? We are entangled in situations in the world, and yet we will not allow God to come near us, to help us, when all the while, He is there waiting to set us free. If only we would turn to Him in times of distress.

When we don't know what to do, the Word says to pray, and believe. Can you do that with whatever situation you are dealing with today? Can you take that problem and lay it at Jesus' feet and leave it there -- trusting Him to do what only He can do? Or do you want to keep it and worry and fret, losing your peace trying to find a solution when He holds the answer in His hands.

Today as you walk your seashore of life, turn lose of that problem you are trying to solve. Take it to Jesus, and leave it there. Don't go back and pick it up -- but rejoice in the fact that He hears and answers your prayers. And He says, "We always triumph in Jesus Christ!" What a wonderful promise... just receive it today.

Psalm 91:14 -- "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the water covered my feet so gently. I thought of the gentleness of how God helps us through the hurts of our past and how He erases the pain and fills our hearts with joy every day.

When I compared the joy of the present with the past hurt, it seemed almost as those things never happened. My friend, our God is bigger than our past, our disappointments, and our problems. We may have made a lot of mistakes, but God can turn those things all around. People may have hurt you and done you wrong, but if you'll leave it up to God, He'll pay you back. He'll make your wrongs right. Start focusing on your possibilities. Let hope fill your heart today.

Remember as you walk your seashore of life today, no matter what you've been through, God is saying there are great days ahead for you and for me. Say, "I'm not going to be a prisoner of my past. I've had enough. I'm going to stop focusing on my disappointments and move forward with my life." Declare this today to put the devil on the run. God will give you a new beginning. Remember, your latter days will be greater than your former days!

Psalm 16:11 -- "You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I saw a sandpiper take a fish away from another that had struggled to get the fish out of the water. One had done the fighting and the other took it from him. That didn't seem quite fair to me.

I thought of situations in my life that at times did not seem quite fair. But God has promised that if you will put your trust in Him to bring about the justice in your life, He will pay you back for all the unfair things that have happened to you. Isaiah 61:7-9 tells us so. That means you don't have to go around trying to pay everybody back for the wrong things they have done to you. God is your vindicator. Let Him fight your battles for you.

When you truly understand that you don't have to fix everything that happens to you, you don't have to try to manipulate the situation or control the circumstances or people involved. Remember as you walk your seashore of life today, when you leave it up to God to pay you back, you take the high road, respond in love, and watch what God will do. Remember, God always pays back abundantly.

Romans 12:19 -- "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave the way open for God's wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay says the Lord."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I saw the blessings He showers us with everywhere I looked. I can't help but wonder if Jesus ever gets tired of giving us incredible blessings every day and we forget to appreciate them or say "thank you."

Every day we are able to get up, and breath, walk, laugh, cry, be joyful, and see the amazing creation our Father has placed all around us -- especially the beautiful beach. We should shout from our rooftops how thankful we are to Him.

Yet I know there are days we awake and never even think of how wonderful He has been to us... the fact that He died for us and that we can live forever, and enjoy the wonderful life here on the earth, surrounded with His beauty and favor. How sad that must make Him.

As you walk your seashore of life, don't forget to add those words "thank you" to your vocabulary. Lift your voice to Him and sing praises for all He has done for you and for all He has planned in your future. He loves you and has given you everything pertaining to life --so enjoy every day and let Him know how very grateful you are! He is worthy of our praise!!!

Psalm 68:19 -- "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, my thoughts were quieted by the calmness of the ocean. Today it seemed tame and peaceful, as our spirits should be when we are walking with Him, trusting Him for our every need.

How restless we become when we take over our own lives, and forget that He has every detail covered from beginning to end. He is the author and finisher of our faith, and He knows the beginning from the end. That is what the Word of God says.

My question to you is -- do you believe Him and take Him at His Word or do you have doubt? He says that if we doubt, we will not have our prayers answered.

So, as you walk your seashore of life today, ask yourself this question. "Do I trust Him and take Him at His Word, or do I trust myself, and my resources?" Make the right choice and trust Him. He has the answers and the provisions. Then you will live in peace, trusting Him for every need.

Jeremiah 17: 7-8 -- "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters which spreads out its roots by the river and will not fear when heat comes but its leaf will be green. And will not be anxious in the year of drought nor will cease from yielding fruit."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched the incredible new day being birthed... and realized that each sunrise seems to be even more grand than the last one I watched. It is better and better every day! There is nothing mediocre or the same about our Father!

Have you ever been around someone that seems to be stuck in the same old, same old pattern every day in life? They always think the worst, or think negative. Their words keep them captured in the prison of mediocrity. Too often, we allow complacency to keep us in that box of nothingness -- the box of mediocrity. We get comfortable where we are and we use that as an excuse. "My parents were poor. Nobody in my family has ever amounted to much, so I guess I won't either." What a lie from the devil!

God wants you to go further than your parents ever went. He wants you to break out of that mediocre mold, and get creative, just like your Father in heaven. You can do more, have more, be more. You can be the person to change your family history -- and break that pattern. Don't pass junk down to your children and keep that negative cycle going. You can break the curse in your family. You can be the one to affect future generations by the decisions you make today!

Judges 6:25-26 -- "Tear down your father's altar to Baal and cut down the Asherah pole beside it. Then build a proper kind of altar to the Lord your God on the top of this height."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I noticed a little sandpiper with a wounded wing that dragged along on the sand as he followed the shoreline. I prayed for him and thought of how tender God is with our wounds.

You know how it is when you break a toe or bruise a muscle. You favor, protect it from further injury, making sure no one touches you in that tender spot. The same is true emotionally. You are very guarded where those areas of hurt are concerned, careful not to let anyone near those places.

However, it is important to understand God's character when dealing with the fragile, vulnerable issues of your life. How easy it would be to finish breaking a reed that is bent in two? Or to put out a wick that is only smoldering? Most would not think twice about it.

Remember as you walk along your seashore of life today, God is gentle and kind -- He would never hit you where it hurts. Rather, He will tenderly nurse your fragile issues so you can be healed and made whole again. What an awesome God we serve! He loves us and is the true healer of our hearts!

Isaiah 42:3 -- "A bruised reed He will not break and a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched a little boy and an old man walking together holding hands... a child and a son.

I thought of how Jesus was showing me, that to be a child of God is different from being a son of God. When we are His child, we are young and very needy -- not that we are not forever in need of our Father -- but that children usually are very very needy and demanding most of the time. We have to learn as children to share, to live with others, to obey our parents... and all those things we learn from childhood until we become adults. Then when we become sons of God, we have learned to trust Him, to obey Him, to live according to His Word in our daily walk and walk as a son, confident of who we are in Him. We should have learned by then, to apply His principals to our daily lives, living in peace with His plans for our lives.

What a contrast -- child of God, or son of God -- a revelation I had never thought of before. He is such a good Father, always showing us His ways and how we are coming to a new place in Him as we mature and grow in our personal relationship with Him. It is a journey that will lead us into new revelation every day... I want to be a son of God that endures the path of life! How about you? Where are you today?

Galations 4: 5-6 -- "...to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your heart, crying out, 'Abba Father.'"

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched an incredible sunrise. I could see the day being birthed into a beautiful creation of life!

We need to be able to see things by faith. The world tells you, "You need to see it to believe it." But God says, "Faith is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see." Only as you believe it will you ever see it. Once you see it by faith, it can come into existence in the physical world.

Being today to believe that what you have hoped for is going to happen, that good things are on their way. You may have all kinds of problems, and in the natural order, it doesn't look as though anything is turning around. But don't be discouraged. Look into that invisible world, into the supernatural world, and through your eyes of faith, see that situation turning around. See your joy and peace being restored.

Hebrews 11:27 -- "By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king's anger, he preserved because he saw him who is invisible."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I picked up a beautiful piece of driftwood that had washed upon the beach. It looked worn from drifting in the ocean.

We are like that sometimes... just drifting in along in life. Maybe you are like that and have endured unspeakable negative things, to the point that you have lost your dreams. You are just drifting and taking whatever comes you way. Maybe you are thinking, "I am never going to get any better, even though I have prayed, believed and done everything I know to do. My life is in too big of a mess; you can't unscramble eggs," and that is true. But God can take scrambled eggs and make an amazing omelet!

My friend, if you don't have faith, you can't please God and you won't see His power revealed in your life. No matter how many setbacks you've suffered, God still has a great plan for your life. Keep hope alive in your heart. Never give up on your dreams.

Isaiah 59:1 -- "Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched a tiny sandpiper wrestle with a fish he had in his mouth, trying to hang on to keep from losing the fish... but the tiny fish escaped and quickly returned to the ocean.

I thought that is how it is with us sometimes... we lose the battle for the moment! But God reminded me -- that we really never lose with Him. When times get tough -- as they often do -- or things don't go your way -- as they sometimes don't -- keep on believing God. When discouragements come, or when people tell you that your dreams are never going to come to pass, boldly remind yourself that God is opening doors of opportunity for you.

God doesn't want you to drag through this life, barely making it. Dare today to start believing God for greater things. Dare to believe Him for a better marriage, for better health, for increase and abundance. God wants you to have a good life, a life filled with love, joy, peace, and fulfillment. That doesn't mean it will always be easy, but it does mean it will always be good. God causes all things to work together for good to those who love Him.

Psalm 104:28 -- "When you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the ocean was full of life -- dolphins were playing, pelicans were flying, sandpipers were running about. All of the things I saw were good things.

I thought of all these good things, when I could have chosen to think of "bad" things with everything going on in the world. Every person has two main files in their memory system. The first file is filled with all the good things that have happened to us -- our victories and accomplishments, the things that have brought us joy and happiness. The second file is filled with all the negative things -- our hurts and pains, defeats and failures, things that brought us sadness and sorrow. Throughout life, we can choose which file we access. Some people repeatedly return to file number two and relive the painful things that have happened to them. They practically wear out file number two, and they never get around to exploring file number one.

If you want to be free, if you want to overcome self-pity, throw away the key to file number two. Keep your mind focused on the good things God has done in your life.

Psalm 48:9 -- "Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the ocean was so calm I could see a reflection of myself looking back at me.

How do you see yourself? Do you see yourself as successful? Healthy? Upbeat? Happy? Do you see yourself as being used by God? Do you see yourself as "well able" to do what God wants you to do, strong in the Lord and the power of His might? Or have you allowed yourself to adopt a mentality that says, "I'll never make it in life. My dreams will never come to pass. My marriage is too far gone. I'm too far in debt. I'll never get out of the hole I'm in."

Beware of associating with or adopting the attitudes of people who, through their negative outlook and lack of self esteem, will rob you of the greatness that God has for you. God wants you to accomplish great things in life, and He's put incredible potential, gifts, and talents within you to enable you to do so. Trust Him and move into your destiny.

1 Corinthians 13:33 -- "Do not be misled; 'Bad company corrupts good character.'"

As I walked on the seaside with Jesus today, I saw a tiny little frog, which was very unusual to see on the beach. How did it get there? Then I remembered a story I had read.

It was about a little frog that was born at the bottom of a small, circular well. He and his family lived there, and he was content to play in the water. He thought, "life doesn't get any better than this." But one day, he climbed to the top of the well and cautiously peered out over the edge. Lo and behold, the first thing he saw was a pond a thousand times bigger than the well. He ventured farther and discovered a huge lake. Eventually, the little frog hopped all the way to the ocean, where everywhere he looked, all he could see was water. He was shocked beyond measure.

How about you? Are you enclosed in your own little well? Look out over the edge of your life. God has oceans He wants you to enjoy!

Isaiah 17:7 -- "In that day men will look to their Maker and turn their eyes to the Holy One of Israel."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the ocean was sparkling with crystals dancing on the water. The atmosphere was charged with power from above... the creation was alive and I felt it as my feet touched the sand. I could feel the Father telling me I could accomplish all things with Him!

It is amazing what can happen when you get into an atmosphere where people build you up rather than tear you down. Where people encourage and challenge you to be the best you can be. Spend time with people who inspire you to reach for new heights. If you associate with successful people, before long their enthusiasm will be contagious and you will catch that vision. If you stay in an atmosphere of victory, you will develop a winning mind-set. If you hang around people of faith, your own faith will increase.

Today it is time for you to soar with the eagles rather than pecking around with the chickens. If you will do your part by continually contemplating the goodness of God, living with faith and expectancy, God will take you places you've never even dreamed of.

1 Samuel 23:16 -- "And Saul's son, Jonathan, went to David at Horesh and helped him find strength in God."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched the birds flying freely across the ocean. They were high above the waves enjoying their freedom.

Just as we recently celebrated our nation's freedom on July 4th, we as believers can also enjoy the freedom Christ has provided for us through His death on the cross. That is our privilege, but do we truly live that way? We become so entangled in the affairs of life, and so weighted down with things that we are not meant to carry. We let relationships and problems of life become burdens that we drag with us every day instead of giving them to Jesus! That keeps us in bondage and keeps us from being able to enjoy the life He gave us -- by giving up His own life on the cross. What a shame it is, to have that liberty and not live in it. I am sure it is not the way Jesus meant for us to live.

This day, ask yourself what are you carrying that you should lay at His feet? Then make a declaration that you are going to live in the liberty that has been provided for you as His child... the abundant life of joy, peace and all that is included in salvation. You are free in Him! Live life to the fullest and enjoy your life everyday!

Galatians 5:1 -- "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched the ocean waves slamming against the beach, pounding the sand again and again.

At times it seems that is the way the enemy comes at us in our life. You have to remember this -- the enemy always fights the hardest when he knows God has something great in store for you. The darkest battle, the darkest storm, will always give way to the brightest sunrise. Keep believing, keep praying, keep pressing forward. The Scripture says, "Don't get tired of doing what is right, for in due season you shall reap if you faint not." (Galatians 6:9). It may be hard right now, but remind yourself that you have the power of God inside you.

God said you are well able to fulfill your destiny. You can do what you need to do.

Deuteronomy 20:3-4 -- "Hear, O Israel, today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not be terrified or give way to panic before them. For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, two pelicans were fighting over a fish. I had never seen that sight before, but there they were both chasing the same fish, not that the ocean didn't have thousands of them... more than enough to fill both of them.

That is the way we are at times, fighting over the things here on earth. But God has provided us with all things pertaining to life. We each have been given a life to live with everything we will ever need and yet we are always after what someone else has... their bigger home, their nice car, their "things"... yes, even someone else's wife. Why can we not learn to be content with the assigned life our Father has given us?

It seems we are always seeking to have more of what we do not have. That is why we can never seem to find contentment with our lives and have peace in our hearts. Our Father in heaven gave each of us an inheritance here and a life that is meant to be lived with Him as the focal point. Once we learn to do that we will stop seeking what we do not have!

Today make the decision to live with Jesus as your focus for more! He can give you all you will ever need or want... He is enough to be satisfied and forever content!

Hebrews 13:5 -- "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have; for He has said, I will never leave thee or forsake thee."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I noticed a little sand piper that ran back and forth into the ocean... in then out... over and over again.

It made me think of the Israelites that took 40 years to to an 11 day journey. God wanted them to move forward, but they wandered in the desert, going around the same mountain, time after time.

They were trapped in a poor, defeated mentality, focusing on their problems and always complaining about the obstacles.

No matter what you've gone through in the past, no matter how many setbacks you've suffered or who or what has tried to thwart your progress, today is a new day and God wants to do a new thing in your life. Don't let your past determine your future.

Deuteronomy l:6-8 -- "You have dwelt long enough on this mountain... Behold I have set the land before you; go in and possess the land which the Lord swore to your fathers... to give to them and to their descendants after them."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the beach looked refreshed and washed clean from the rain of last night. Another new day, another new beginning of a new month... fresh with a clean slate.

Just as we have new beginnings every day with our Savior, we can have new beginnings in life when we fail in our daily walk. That is His promise -- new and fresh every morning are the mercies of our Savior. What a comfort to know that even though we fail today, He never looks at our failures if we repent and ask forgiveness. He wipes the slate clean every day so we don't have to carry yesterday's mistakes and sins with us throughout our lives. What a weight that would be, especially for those of us that have lived quite a few years on the earth! Thank God for His mercy and forgiveness!

Today as you walk your seashore of life, receive His forgiveness and walk free. Walk, knowing you have been forgiven of yesterday's sins and have a new beginning today. Let this be the first free day of the rest of your life. It is His goodness and mercy that allows you to walk free from yesterday's mistakes. Live life freely and forgiven!

Lamentations 3:22-23 -- "The Lord's mercies are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness."
